Randeep Hooda to do a Cameo in “Cocktail”

Randeep Hooda bollywood actor, will be viewed in a cameo appearance in the forthcoming Saif Ali Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer “Cocktail”.

After impressive work in “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai”, “Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster” and “Jannat 2″, Randeep has some big films like “Jism 2″ and “Heroine” in his pot.

Producer Dinesh Vijan said, “He is playing a cameo. He is doing a special appearance in the movie. It was a role that we were disscussing about, and we were hunting for someone. Randeep’s name surfaced and Homi spoke to him. Randeep liked his role and he came aboard.

“Randeep is a wonderful actor, he is brilliant. He is a really good actor and we want to work with him really soon.” he said.
Vijan further stated, Since their chemistry clicked with the audience in “Love Aaj Kal” and “Aarakshan”, Saif and Deepika have been cast together for the third time in “Cocktail”.

Saif picked up the script and he really liked it. Then we gave the script to Deepika and offered her both the roles, she preferred Veronica. Then we thought the correct twist in this ‘Cocktail’ will be to cast a newcomer, fresh face for the role of Meera,” said Vijan.

“Diana Penty was the first girl we auditioned, I was going for a shoot and she was coming in, so we met. Homi and I did a screen test and we both somewhere saw a Meera in her. Diana is a model, she is perfect on ramp but we had to de-glam her. In her personal life she is very simple, shy and introvert girl.. She is close to Meera,” said Vijan.

Dinesh stated, “This ‘Cocktail’ has got a crazy Gautam, a wild Veronica and real Meera, brilliant director and me as a producer. This Cocktail is right on and in place. We have put our best foot forward and there is no point of concern about things right now. We have done what we could, we have given our best. And I hope everybody likes it.

“Cocktail” is made up under Saif’s banner Illuminati Films, and the movie is releasing on July 13.
