Finally it’s confirmed, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan will be getting married on October 16th 2012.
Meanwhile October has been chosen for the wedding as Kareena will apparently be able to complete a lot of her pending assignments by then. Even ‘Agent Vinod’ being produced by Saif would have released by then. Rumour has it that the couple has chosen Switzerland (their fave holiday destination) for their honeymoon.
Sharmila Tagore has confirmed the news and says that it’s going to be a quiet affair with friends and family in attendance. Earlier, too, Sharmila Tagore had made a statement that Saif and Kareena would wed as soon ‘as the weather improves’. Now, the veteran actress is quoted as confirming the wedding date, “Yes, that’s the date (October 16) we have decided upon. There will be a reception, too, but not a very big one.”
Since Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi died recently, the family is not keen on big celebrations; instead a low key wedding is on the cards. Kareena and her family too have agreed to it. It’s reported that the wedding, which will be held at the Pataudi’s ancestral home, will only be attended by immediate family members of the couple. However, a large reception bash in Mumbai with who’s who of the industry cannot be ruled out, considering both Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have many friends in Bollywood.
Kareena has supposedly already told her close friends and fave colleagues to keep themselves free around the planned dates of the engagement and the wedding. She shares a great relationship with all three Khans – Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh – and wants all of them to be there on her special day.
Since it’s going to be a wedding between Bollywood royalty and actual royalty (Saif’s dad Mansoor Ali Khan is the Nawab of Pataudi), it seems only natural that the bride will be dressed by designer royalty. Apparently Ritu Kumar has been chosen to design Kareena’s wedding dress. Kareena Kapoor is expected to be dressed like a royal bride on her Wedding day.
