Arshad Warsi is moving on to act another on-screen ‘jodi’ with Sunny Deol in ‘Bhaiyaaji Superhit’, after establishing a hit union with Sanjay Dutt in the ‘Munnabhai’ series.
Neeraj Pathak is the Director of the film, and is an action comedy. Rumours has it that the script of the movie is in the same lines of Raj Kumar Hirani’s hit comedy series.
But Pathak has denied the rumours, expressing it was Arshad’s idea to create a new male-pairing with Sunny Deol.
“’Bhaiyaaji Superhit‘ isn’t precisely on the lines of ‘Munnabhai’ series but it has plenty of moments that would showcase good chemistry between a veteran like Sunny as well as Arshad who has been throughout for a decade and a half now. It is going to be magic for sure,” Neeraj said.
Neeraj further confirmed, the 44-year-old actor was the first choice for the role. Arshad will be projected playing the character of a filmmaker.
“I was confident that Arshad was the only actor who could play this role. It is tailor-made for him. Even though Arshad and I haven’t worked together, we share a great equation. The second I narrated the script to him, he recognized that there were some super-duper sequences that he would share with Sunny.”
“Because I am a writer first, I personally feel character detailing has to be perfect and the tempo just right. Furthermore, to compliment that, you need to have actors who come with the best comic timing.
The filmmaker, who began his career two years ago with Deol starrer ‘Right Yaaa Wrong’, said choosing actors that suit the script is very important.
“I consider that in my actors. When you have this combination in place, the script has to be planned in such a way that it never becomes dull when transformed on screen,” he said.
“Arshad also stated since he has made a good match with Sanjay Dutt in the past, why couldn’t he and Sunny bring on a new connection?
Ameesha Patel and Tusshar Kapoor are also part of the movie, which is scheduled to be released early next year.
